STUDENTS:  

  •  It's not too late to purchase a 2015 yearbook. You can purchase on line at www.balfour.com. See Mrs. Ball room 1504 for details.

 

  • Seniors, you have until the end of today to get a senior page in the yearbook.  No submissions will be accepted in January. See Mrs. Ball for details.

 

  • Duke University is accepting applications now for the Duke Summer College for High School Students Program for 10th and 11th graders and Duke Summer Academy for High School Students for grades 9-12. See Mrs. Fox, 12th grade counselor, for more information.

 

  • PSAT scores are in! If you took the PSAT in October, please come by Ms. Thompson's office in the Counseling Suite to pick up your scores.

     
  • Nine weeks exams will be given this week. Today will be 3rd, 5th, and 7th periods. Friday will be 1st and 2nd periods. Study hard and do well!

 

 

  • Are you a young student filmmaker unsure of how to get your work out in the world? Do you enjoy learning about the aspects of filmmaking? If so, Black Warrior Film Festival has a place for you. This year Black Warrior Film Festival is seeking high school students in 9th-12th grade to submit their narrative films, documentaries, music videos, animated films and experimental films. The submission guidelines along with the application can be found through the website: http://www.blackwarriorfilmfest.com/submitnow  Be sure to keep updated by following us on social media. @BWFF_UA, FACEBOOK.COM/BLACKWARRIORFILMFEST, INSTAGRAM.COM/BWFF_UA.   • Winter holidays begin after school tomorrow. Students return on Wednesday, January 7th. Have a safe and very merry holiday!
