STUDENTS:  

 

  • Congratulations to Ashley Eavenson for finishing in 17th out of over 160 runners at the Montevallo Twilight Classic this past Friday!

 

  • Congratulations to Makenzie Warnick for being selected as Tuscaloosa County's Distinguished Young Woman 2015.  She received $2,100 in scholarships and will compete for State in January.

     
  • Credit Recovery applications are available for Fall 2015. See your counselor or Mrs. Swindle in Room 2411 to get an application. You can make-up lost credit in the Credit Recovery program. This program keeps you from retaking the course in the classroom. The cost is $100. The following courses are offered: any English class, any History class, most math classes, most science classes, and several electives. Sign up NOW; class starts on Sept. 9. The deadline to turn in your application and pay the fee is Friday, Sept. 4, 2015. Please pay Mrs. Fox, 12th grade counselor. We only accept cash or check. Must be paid to start course.

     
  • Students if you need a parking tag please see Major Summers in room 1214 before or after school.

     
  • ATTENTION SENIORS:  Tomorrow is the last day to order a SENIOR T-SHIRT.  THE COST IS $15 FOR S-XL; $16 FOR 2X/3X.  MONEY MUST BE PAID WHEN T-SHIRT IS ORDERED.  SEE MRS. DUNN IN ROOM 1415 TO ORDER.

     

     
  • The robotics building club will meet today after school in Mr. Workman’s room 2214.

     
  • If you are interested in joining Key Club, you may pick up an application by the entrance door of the library.  See Mrs. Beardsley in the library for more information. 

     

     
  • Student season passes for all home football games are sale in Mrs. Cooper’s room 1507. Passes are $30 and come with a free Wildcat t-shirt. Passes are good for all regular season home games. Get your pass today and come out to support your TC Wildcats! 

     

     
  • The drama department is having its annual clearance sale.  T-shirts from past shows are available and come in a variety of colors and sizes.  Anything Goes shirts are $ 5.00 each and Back to the 80s shirts are $ 7.00 each.  See Mrs. Bellan in room 1702 to make your purchase.

     
  • Members of Sigma Alpha Theta: We will be having our first meeting and Pizza Social today from 3:00-3:45.  We will be welcoming new members, discussing upcoming events, and possible volunteer opportunities.  Make plans to attend!

     
  • Anyone who would like to be on the swim team needs to pick up a packet in Mrs. Livingston's room (1307) and return no later than September 30th.

     
  • Beta Club applications are available for pick-up in Mrs. Cooper's room, 1507.  Beta Club is an honor society that is open to juniors and seniors with a 3.0 grade point average and approved faculty recommendations.  Application deadline is Friday, September 11.  

     

     
  • T-Shirts for Beat Cancer Beat Hillcrest will be sold today through Tuesday, September 8 in first period. Shirts will be $12 for S - XL and 2XL or larger will be $14.  All orders must be in by September 8. You must pay when you order. Each grade has a unique design! Ask your teacher to see the design for your grade level. 

     
  • Art Club's first organizational meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 9. in room 1704 immediately after school.

    You will need to pick up an application form and return it before or by this date. We will be discussing homecoming plans this month.  See Mrs. Latham room 1704 for application or more information.

     
  • Come out and support the Cross Country Team this Saturday as they compete in the West Blocton Invitational.  The race will be held at Woodstock Elementary School and starts at 8am.
