  • Congratulations to Wildcat tennis players Tristan Simpson, Haleigh Price, and Kayla Caldwell for their win against Thompson on Monday.
  • Congratulations to Destiny Lynn Keeton for being selected to participate in the 2016 Auburn Honor Band!
  • The Cutie Walk will be this Friday, February 12th at 2:30 in the gym. Tickets will be $3.00.
  • Any senior who is interested in grade recovery for a math or English class, see Mrs. Fox for more information.
  • If you are interested in The University of Alabama's Early College program, they will be holding their
    Annual Zone Reception on Thursday, March 31, at 7 PM, in the North Zone at Bryant-Denny Stadium). Eligible students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be in at least 10th grade. Parents are invited also. See your counselor for an invitation card. 

  • Attention Seniors:  The yearbook Senior Directory forms are available from your 12th grade English teacher or Mrs. Cooper.   All Senior Directory forms must be turned in to Mrs. Cooper by today. If your form isn't turned in by the deadline, your information will not appear in the Senior Directory portion of the yearbook.  

  • Sigma Alpha Theta members: Please bring one or two bags of individually wrapped candy to either Mrs. Barkdoll or Ms. Livingston by today. With it, bring your time sheet so your sponsors can sign off that you have participated. Also, we will have a brief meeting after school tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 11th in Ms. Livingston's room.  Please be there!

  • February is Career Technical Education Month. Career Technical Education are programs that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers. Here at TCHS, we offers students the opportunity to explore Health Sciences- taught by Mrs. Workman, Education and Training- taught by Mrs. Costanzo, Welding, taught by Coach Wright,  Commerce and Information Technology taught by Mr. Hogue, Mr. Dobbins, Ms. Underwood, and Mrs. Thomas, Agriscience taught by Coach Williams, Family and Consumer Sciences taught by Ms. Martin, and Work Based Learning/Cooperative Education taught by Mrs. McGee, and JROTC taught by First Sergeant Esteves and Major Summers. See any of these teachers for more information about CTE. 
  • Shelton State Community College will host a Preview Day for seniors on Saturday, Feb. 20. Students will be able to apply for admission and financial aid, receive scholarship information, meet instructors, and take a tour. They will draw for one full-tuition scholarship. Reserve your spot at http://www.sheltonstate.edu/previewday. See Mrs. Fox for an informational card.

  • Shelton State Community College is hosting FAFSA and scholarship workshops for seniors. An appointment is not required. Workshops are held on the main campus. You will need to take copies of your parents' taxes and your scholarship essay. The following dates are available:

    Tonight, February 10     4-6 p.m.

    February 17    2-4 p.m.

    February 24    2-4 p.m.

    More dates will be available in March and April.

  • All Pencils Down will be holding an ACT Prep class in Tuscaloosa on the following dates: March 8, March 22,March 29, April 5, and April 12. All times are from 5-8:15 p.m. The sessions will be held at the Faucett Brothers Activity Center. You can register at http://www.allpencilsdown.com .   • ZAPS Test Prep will be holding an ACT prep seminar at Northside High School on Saturday, March 5 from 9:00 - 3:00 p.m. You are invited to attend! Cost is $79.99. Register at http://www.doorwaytocollege.com or call 1-877-927-8378.

  • Seniors interested in the Mercedes Benz/Shelton State Community College programs must apply online athttp://www.mbusi.com and have your Shelton application complete by February 29.

  • The University of Alabama Early College is now accepting high school students with a  3.00 GPA or higher to take college credit classes. Spring deadlines are approaching! See your counselor if you are interested. If you register for the June 24 Gateway session, UA will waive your $40 application fee.

  • Information regarding the 2016-2017 Cheerleading Program is available in Mrs. McGee's Room #1202. If interested, you may get the informational packet.
  • The Peer Leaders will be selling candy today in the commons after 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th. All items will be $1.
