The TCHS bass fishing team will meet at the school Saturday, March 8th at 8am to leave for Fayette Lake. Remember, your team gets points toward the state championship standings for participating. Everyone is expected to attend.
Anyone who signed up to run crew in Anything Goes will have a meeting on Wednesday, March 12 at 3:15 in Mrs. Bellan's room. Attendance is mandatory for you to work on crew. See Mrs. Bellan if you have any questions or concerns.
County High has a new club for writers and readers. The first meeting will be Wednesday, March 12 at 3:10 in room 1509. See Mrs. Evans for more information.
The drama department is holding an Anything Goes Preview Party concert featuring The Footnotes, an acapella singing group from the University of Alabama School of Law, on Thursday, March 13 at 7:00 pm at Northwood Hills Baptist Church. The church is located behind Hungry Howie's in Northport. Tickets are $ 5.00 each and will be available in advance and at the door. Come out and enjoy a great concert and support your drama department.
The library is cleaning out and has lots of great books to give away! Come by and get some before they are all gone!
- Shelton State will be holding Financial Aid workshops for senior students and their parents. Shelton State scholarship application assistance will also be available at these workshops. Students can visit anytime between
3-5 pm on the following dates: March 19, April 2, and April 16. Sessions will be held in the Compass testing room 1826. Be sure to take your tax information with you!
The Tuscaloosa Teachers Credit Union (TTCU) is now taking scholarship applications. To be eligible, a student or member of his immediate family must be a member in good standing. Academic performance, leadership, community service, and financial need will be considered. Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded. The deadline is March 17, 2014. See Mrs. Fox for an application or pick one up at any local branch of TTCU.

Shelton State is giving the COMPASS test to high school students after school at 4:30 p.m. on the following dates: March 17, April 7, and April 28. Students must schedule an appointment to test with the Shelton State Counseling Center and have a student number to use.
- Shelton's Summer Studies Scholarship (S-cubed) is no longer based upon financial aid status. Anyone who is planning to attend this summer and has at least a 2.0 GPA may apply. You can be eligible to take 2 free classes during Summer 2014. The application is now available online, and the money is given out to the ones who apply first. So hurry!!.
Mercedes-Benz has extended its deadline for application for the Shelton State-Mercedes program for any interested seniors. The new deadline is March 14, 2014. For more information,
