  • Yearbooks will be on sale today through October 31st. The cost is $65 for a 300+ page, all color book. Please purchase during first period in the yearbook room, 1504. Staff members will be around on Tuesdays and Thursdays to your first period classes to sell books and remind you. Yearbooks can also be purchased on line. Go to countyhigh.com for details.

  • CATS-TV is selling t-shirts! Get yours today for only $12! 

  • Attention Writers! Enter your Halloween story to the TC Writers Club. The story should only be 1-2 pages typed. Make it scary, but still school appropriate. Deadline to turn in your story is Monday October 20th. The winner's work will be posted on the TC Writers Blog and an artistic interpretation of your work will be designed by a TC art student. The story and the painting will be showcased in the library during the week of Halloween.

  • Attention Marine Biology students from last year and this year:  Mr. Glasgow will be going on a field trip to Dolphin Island on April 24-26. If you are interested in going on the trip come by and see Mr. Glasgow room 2404 as soon as possible.

  • Attention Seniors:  The University of Alabama Department of Theatre and Dance will be holding scholarship auditions on Saturday, November 8 at the UA campus.  The deadline to apply is October 31.  See Mrs. Bellan for paperwork and details


  • The next French Club meeting will be Monday, October 27 in Madame Davis's room from 3:15-4:00. We will discuss fundraisers, t-shirts, and hear from a former French student's experience in first-year college French. Please don't forget dues. Hope you can attend.


  • Seniors: Time is running out to sign up for your senior portrait here at school. Please see Mrs. Ball ASAP.


  • If you bought a Homecoming t-shirt in the first order, please pick it up in the yearbook room during first, fourth, or sixth period. If you ordered one, it's time to bring your money and get your shirt. The second order will be placed today. Please see Mrs. Ball for details.

  • Any student interested in being on the first ever TCHS Mountain Bike team please see Ms. Livingston this week to sign up. There will be a meeting next Thursday Oct. 23rd at 7 pm at the Chick-Fil-A in Northport.


  • The ASVAB will be given for FREE at TCHS on Monday, November 17 at 8:15 a.m. This is a Career Exploration test that is given by the US Military. Anyone in the 11th or 12th grade may take it. If you are planning on a career in the military, it is required for entrance. Please see Mrs. Fox to sign up for the test.


  • All 10th grade students will take the PLAN test on Tuesday and Wednesday October 21st and 22nd. They need to be at school on time and report to their testing rooms when the first bell rings each day. They will need to bring a #2 pencil each day and an ACT approved calculator to their testing room on Wednesday. Backpacks and purses will need to be left in your lockers as they are not allowed in the testing room. Testing will be done on the English and History hallways. See your first period teacher next week for room assignments.

    The following calculators are prohibited:

    ** calculators with built-in computer algebra systems—Prohibited calculators in this
    category include:
        - Texas Instruments: All model numbers that begin with TI-89 or TI-92; and the
           TI-Nspire CAS—Note: The TI-Nspire (non-CAS) is permitted.


    ** Hewlett-Packard: HP 48GII and all model numbers that begin with HP 40G,
    HP 49G, or HP 50G


    ** Casio: Algebra fx 2.0, ClassPad 400, ClassPad 300, ClassPad 330, and all model
    numbers that begin with CFX-9970G


    **  handheld, tablet, or laptop computers, including PDAs


    **  electronic writing pads or pen-input devices—Note: The Sharp EL 9600 is permitted.


    **  calculators built into cell phones or any other electronic communication devices


    ** calculators with a typewriter keypad (letter keys in QWERTY format)—Note: Letter
    keys not in QWERTY format are permitted.

  • Any boys interested in trying out for the golf team need to see Coach Wright room 1412 ASAP. Tryouts will be held October 27th and 29th at Ol' Colony at 4:00 both days. 

  • CATS-TV and Fan Club are sponsoring Gamer's Night next Friday night, October 24th from 6-9pm in the library. Tickets are $5 and there are only 50 available. They go on sale Monday! T-shirts are available for $15. See Mrs. Evans room 1509, Mrs. Black in the library, or Ms. Davis 2605 for tickets, t-shirts, and additional information. Hope to see you there!
